HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital has been serving the Effingham community and the south central region of Illinois since 1875. This fully accredited, not-for-profit general acute care health facility has 133 licensed beds and is an affiliate of the Hospital Sisters Health System. Bread and butter cases; heavy orthopedic, general, and urology.

26 weeks on / 26 weeks off schedule. Full-time W2 salary position. Beeper call from home.

• Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Medical management of patients rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtain and/or verify patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient; manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitor the patient's physiological condition
• Perform clinical interventions as needed

• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
• ECFMG and FLEX
• Completion of an approved residency in anesthesia
• Currently licensed as a physician
