Job Description

Healthcare United is seeking a Plastic Surgeon to launch and build a brand-new plastic surgery program in East Central Illinois. This is a ground-floor opportunity to establish a practice with genuine autonomy, supported by an expanding, financially stable regional health system with modern surgical facilities, an established referral network, and no local competition for these services.

This position offers a mix of reconstructive and cosmetic practice shaped to your interests and training. Candidates seeking program-building autonomy, strong earning potential, and committed institutional backing will find this to be an outstanding opportunity.

  • Establish and grow a comprehensive plastic surgery program within the community
  • Perform reconstructive procedures including breast, skin cancer, and post-surgical reconstruction
  • Develop a cosmetic practice aligned with your interests and market demand
  • Help define OR block time, clinic workflows, staffing, and equipment needs
  • Collaborate with general surgery, ENT, dermatology, and primary care on referrals
  • Provide consultations, follow-up care, and treatment planning
  • Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
Requirements
  • MD or DO degree required
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Plastic Surgery
  • Eligible for or active Illinois medical license
  • Interest in program-building; experienced surgeons and confident new graduates welcome
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available
  • Expected base salary range $500,000 – $600,000+
  • Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available
