Role Overview
Parts Sales Representative – Inside is responsible for assisting customers in locating and ordering the appropriate parts for their trucks, both in person and over the phone. The role includes working with customers, mechanics, and peers to find accessories and supply parts for repairs, enhancements, or general maintenance. The representative also helps organize and maintain the showroom floor.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain customer goodwill by greeting and acknowledging all customers, offering assistance.
- Answer the telephone within three rings, greeting and offering assistance.
- Suggest additional products and/or services to solve the customer’s problem and meet their needs.
- When working the parts counter, follow prescribed cash, credit, and check processing procedures of the dealership.
- Process cores and warranty claims.
- Follow up on shortages and expedite by reporting to the Parts Manager.
- Maintain product merchandising knowledge.
- Attend training as prescribed by management to maintain proficiency in the job description.
- Provide service technicians with parts as required.
- Maintain the retail sales floor and displays to meet or exceed dealership standards.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by Parts Manager.
