The Senior Internal Auditor performs operational, financial, and compliance reviews of internal departments and functions to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the Bank's internal controls, risk management processes, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies. This position regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance and/or confidentiality.

- Perform walkthroughs, conduct scoping meetings, and evaluate control design and effectiveness to identify gaps or control deficiencies.
- Aid in the execution and documentation of audit procedures.
- Prepare detailed audit working papers documenting the objective, scope, testing, and findings or recommendations for improvement.
- Help monitor the status of management action plans and validate issue remediation.
- Assist in the completion of the annual internal audit program.
- Provide guidance to other staff during reviews.
This position may be based out of one of the following locations:
- Loan Production Office
- South County, St Louis - Trenton Branch
- Trenton, IL - Corporate Center
- Effingham, IL
This position requires 40 hours each week with work typically being completed between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Some travel for training or audit completion may be necessary. Limited travel to other branches may occur.
