Patient Dining Associate; Dietary Aide

Job Summary

Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) at HSHS St. Anthony's Hospital provides meal management and support services for patients. The role includes menu assistance, tray preparation, delivery, and maintaining food safety standards. Pay range is $16.00 to $20.00 per hour.

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements.
• Coordinate with caregivers and culinary team to provide menu alternatives for patients with allergies, dietary restrictions, or preferences.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals accurately and on time; retrieve trays from patient rooms at assigned times.
• Comply with regulatory agency standards, HIPAA policies, and facility confidentiality.
• Follow HACCP guidelines, infection control policies, and department sanitation procedures.
• Assist dietitians with patients who cannot eat or require special diets.
• Communicate problems or concerns to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Complete all required daily, weekly, or monthly reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Occasional lifting or moving up to 100 pounds and maneuvering food delivery carts.
