Operator Lead person - Effingham, IL

The Mixing Lead person has active, hands-on involvement and daily presence within the facility. The position works closely with the mixing employees and oversees the general production training for new employees.

• Active, hands-on involvement and daily presence within the facility
• Works directly with production supervisor and/or packaging operator/lead person to ensure flow of material to and from mixing is according to daily production schedule
• Monitors the flow of production to maintain production efficiencies
• Helps trouble shooting issues with batches, yields, and quality concerns
• Assists in mixing when needed
• Monitors the workplace for improvements and safety concerns
• Enters safety audits into SCPro.
• Maintains compliance of master sanitation schedule.
• Ensures colleagues are complying with all policies and procedures.
• Ensures mixing colleagues are cleaning when idle time occurs
• Responsible for leading and providing guidance to team.
• Other tasks as assigned.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
• 3-5 years of manufacturing and/or warehousing experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word etc)
