$34.00 - $51.00 per hour. The actual rate will reflect experience, skills, training, certifications, and education.
Position SpecificsDepartment: Medical Surgical
Core Function: Nursing
Facility: St. Anthony’s Hospital
Location: Effingham, IL
Part‑time nights, 2x12 schedule (24 hours per week), every other weekend rotation (currently every 4th) with required holiday rotation.
Responsibilities- Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends.
- Complete the nursing process in collaboration with physicians and the multidisciplinary team.
- Offer physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families.
- Supervise assigned team members.
- Promote patient independence by establishing care goals and teaching patients and families about condition, medications, and self‑care skills.
- Answer questions and provide education as needed.
- Ensure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards and measuring outcomes against goals and standards.
- Recommend and implement necessary adjustments in accordance with nursing philosophies and standards of care set by the state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agencies.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing school approved for licensure in the state of practice.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice required.
- If in Wisconsin, valid multi‑state RN license under the Nurse Licensure Compact rules accepted.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
