Infection Prevention Nurse, RN

• Conduct rounds
• Discuss and monitor infection prevention practices with staff members
• Collect infection data from departments
• Maintain records for each case of healthcare-associated infection
• Conduct outbreak investigations
• Train staff members on implementation of infection prevention practices
• Investigate incidents of infections
• Report infection incidents to the appropriate person or department
• Ensure availability of supplies required for infection prevention activities

• Must have active, and in good standing, Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• Prior experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting preferred
• One year of prior experience providing specialized treatments in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting required
• Prior Infection Control experience required
• Infection Control certification preferred
• Professional image in both appearance and behavior
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• A fire and passion for working with seniors
• A flexible, fun, and energetic personality

Demonstrates expertise in Infection Control practices, including data collection, outbreak investigation, and staff training. Holds an active Registered Nurse (RN) license and possesses experience in long-term care settings.
