As a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Effingham, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in logistics and distribution environments, conduct routine patrols, maintain visibility to deter incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. This part‑time role requires a valid driver’s license.
Position Type:Part Time Pay Rate: $18.24 / Hour
Job Schedule:
- Saturday: 06:00 PM – 06:00 AM
- Sunday: 06:00 PM – 06:00 AM
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, documenting details and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, yard, trailer areas, dock spaces, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit activity for visitors, vendors, and deliveries; verify credentials or access permissions as directed by site policies; communicate clearly with personnel regarding post instructions.
- Support daily operations by observing loading and unloading areas, reporting hazards, damaged gates or fencing, lighting issues, and other conditions that could impact security operations.
- A valid driver’s license.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal considers qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
