Maintenance Technician- Second Shift

Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting production equipment. Must possess electrical, mechanical, and PLC aptitudes.

• Support production by returning equipment to base condition through industrial maintenance functions.
• Interpret blueprints, fabricate metal, perform plumbing, pneumatic and millwright activities, and understand motors and drives.
• Collaborate with production staff to enhance equipment reliability and complete repairs with minimal reactive downtime.
• Problem‑solve and troubleshoot; operate computerized systems, maintenance software, and hand‑held devices; attend meetings; complete paperwork.

• Use PC for communication, parts research, and maintenance system purposes, including purchasing parts.
• Demonstrate strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Follow maintenance procedures for PMs, schedules, and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with all levels and represent company professionally.
• Climb ladders; lift/push/pull up to 60 lb using proper techniques.
• Work in confined spaces and limited mobility areas.
• Operate scissor lift or articulating boom lift to work up to 45 ft safely.
• Focus on solutions that satisfy internal and external customers.
• Pass mechanical and electrical aptitude and knowledge test.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Food manufacturing experience desired.
• Experience with PLCs (SLC 500/PLC5/RS Logics/Device Net) preferred.
• Experience with AC/DC motors, VFD, VSD drives preferred.
• Relevant trade or technical school training preferred.

Require standing, sitting, talking, hearing, and use of hands and fingers to operate computer and telephone. Moderate noise and confined area work necessary.

• $31.44 per hour + $1.25 shift differential.
• Up to 7 % quarterly bonus incentive pay.
