Position Details
- Pay: $30.60 per hour
- Work Hours:
start between 6 pm and 7 pm and work until finished; 3rd shift, Sunday to Thursday nights. - Sign‑On Bonus: $10,000 (not eligible if worked for a Performance Food Group owned company within the last 6 months).

Food and food service delivery Drivers fulfill a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. As a Shuttle Driver, you will transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations. The driver operates a tandem trailer, tractor trailer, and/or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, ensuring trips comply with DOT regulations. You will communicate with customers, vendors, and co‑workers professionally and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Position Responsibilities- Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip inspections) per DOT regulations, ensuring tractor/truck and trailer meet safety standards.
- Report all safety issues and requested repairs.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; report hazards immediately.
- Inspect trailers for proper loading and secured freight.
- Maintain required route paperwork with tractor trailer load and keep it available for dispatch.
- Drive and deliver trailers according to predetermined route schedules.
- Perform hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines.
- Parks and stores tractor trailers in designated areas.
- Ensure all equipment and freight are locked and secured.
- Collect and secure damaged goods and customer returns in empty trailers, bring back to base, and complete necessary paperwork.
- Unload all equipment, materials, and remove trash from trailers as required.
- Complete daily record of hours of service and enter it in logs per Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
- Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area, keeping trailers clear and clean.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- 12 months of commercial driving experience.
- Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
- Work required on 3rd shift schedule, Sunday to Thursday nights (schedules may vary).
- Pass pre‑employment drug test.
- Pass road test.
- Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
- Able to hand‑lift and use two‑wheeler, lift gate, and/or other equipment to move and stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift; product generally ranges from approximately 60 to 90 pounds.
$30.60 per hour
