Teacher Deaf and Hearing Impaired Leave Coverage

As part of our mission to pave the way for children’s success worldwide, Therapy Source is seeking a full‑time Teacher of the Deaf and Hearing‑Impaired to provide in‑person services for public school students.
This position is for the upcoming school year.

$50‑$60 per hour

• Anticipated dates
  : 10/19/26-3/19/27
  • Due to maternity leave, there is a possibility start date may be earlier than expected or end date be extended if needed but any changes will be notified

  Hours:
  
  8:00am‑3:00pm (up to 32.5 hrs/wk: 6.5 hrs/day billable, 30 min break) flexible for 9:00‑4:00 some days if needed

• School Certification as a Teacher of the Hearing Impaired in New Jersey
• Possession of (or willingness to obtain) up‑to‑date clearances
• Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)

• Evaluating and determining appropriate itinerant services based on student needs
• Providing ongoing support to teachers regarding the needs of the D/HOH student
• Recommending and assisting with adaptations for classroom instruction
• Providing direct services with the use of the appropriate mode of communication
• Using assistive technology with student
