Senior Systems Engineer

Experience:

• Troubleshoot high-level technical and non-technical issues
• Coordinate system development to include design, modeling, security, integration, and formal testing
• Contribute to completion of specific engineering programs and projects
• Develop solutions to a variety of complex engineering problems
• Perform complex systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the end
• Oversee complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools
• Perform complex systems modeling, simulation, and analysis
• Perform continual maintenance and provide complex solutions for security, backup, and redundancy problems
• Prepare and maintain documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects
• Assist senior engineers and field service engineering staff
• Create and maintain system architecture and troubleshooting documentation
• Monitor, analyze, and report information on system performance; identify inefficiencies, issues, and bottlenecks
• Prepare plans and assessments, such as management engineering plans, integrated support plans, meeting presentations, and implementation plans
• Develop integrated system requirements and proposed design solutions
• Research and document analysis in technical reports and present findings and recommendations to meet program requirements
• Anticipate and address problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance problems

Bachelor’s degree (in computer science, engineering, or mathematics) + 10 years related experience

• Extensive experience with performing engineering and/or scientific research, studies, and analyses of specified technological, scientific, programmatic, and operational issues
• Experience utilizing systems engineering and work management tools such as Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS)
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Interpersonal skills to interact with team members and customers
