Personal Financial Counselor - Egg Harbor Township, NJ

This position provides personal financial services at designated military installations for service members and their families, delivering comprehensive counseling, education, and resources.

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families.
• Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
• Develop and make available informational financial materials.
• Coordinate, publicize, and conduct a wide variety of Personal Financial Management classes and workshops covering topics across the military lifecycle, including arrival at first duty station, pre- and post-deployment phases, and personal and career events outlined in DoDI 1322.34.
• Respond to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilize virtual counseling or other electronic communication methods (web-based chat, video, secure teleconference) when authorized by the OSD FINRED Program office.
• Manage duty-to-warn situations in accordance with Department of Defense protocol.
• Communicate with leadership and participate in regular supervision, sharing trend and issue information for assigned installations.
• Participate in regular in-services, training, quality-improvement committees, or other contract activities as assigned.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree required; an associate degree plus four years of experience or a high-school diploma plus six years of experience may also be considered.
• Minimum of 3 years of financial counseling experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English; bilingual English/Spanish is required if specified by the contract.
• Must obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
• Must pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
• Must hold one of the following certifications:
  Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

Salary Range: $58,440 – $93,500.
