Position Summary
The Applications Systems Analyst II reviews, analyzes and modifies programming/builds of systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support an organization's application system. Consults with team and users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program initiatives. May be expected to write documentation; including but not limited to manuals, CSC Knowledge Base and SOP's to describe program development, logic, coding, corrections, installation and operating systems.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.
This position will require on-call responsibilities and rotational shift coverage (early and late-shifts) as needed. This position acts as a liaison to other Atlanti Care departments as needed. This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
QualificationsEDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in IT, nursing, or related required (or 2 additional years of related experience can be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree)

- Develops and maintains a more in-depth level of knowledge of the systems applications by actively participating in the systems design, development, implementation and modifications.
- Responds effectively and timely to user issues and problems; acts as a resource to other departments, application systems analysts, adoption coaches or clinical informaticists.
- Responsible for documenting operational workflows (as applicable) through working with end-users in order to prepare for system enhancements, upgrade, and new functionality.
- Actively works with the business to promote end-user engagement and system adoption; may assist in developing a formal communications and adoption program.
- Demonstrates ability to be the first point of contact for user support and problem solving.
- Consistently and accurately maintains the system database as well as supporting documents to include new information and system codes, policies and procedures, periodic data maintenance (purging, re-indexing, and/or change management documentation and testing) as required and may assist with developing user guides/manuals.
- Actively participates in information exchanges, user groups or training and prepares materials to support user learning activities.
- Demonstrates the ability for innovative improvement of system functionality by seeking and acting on opportunities to enhance: workflows, integration, system utilization, overall application and processes across functions/business units.
- Participates in incident, change and problem management services as it relates to their respective team within Atlanti Care IT.
- Assists in system tests and audits; makes recommendations for resolution of system issues or establishment of new procedures.
- Generates accurate and timely reports, ensuring data validity.
- Develops and performs system test and audits; makes recommendations for resolution of system issues or establishment of new procedures.
- Provides training to users as needed.
- Serves as a lead and/or participate in enhancements and small projects.
- Engages in system-wide quality improvement efforts.
- Understands and practices the Atlanti Care values.
- Adheres to Atlanti Care and AIT Policies and Procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Works with such equipment as computers, laptops, printers, fax machine, copier, and telephone. This position requires repetitive motion, fingering, hearing, pushing, reaching, and reading, calculating, seeing, speaking, standing, and walking a majority of the time. Occasional driving also required.
