ResponsibilitiesThe Desktop Support Technician is responsible for providing a single point of contact for end users to receive support. The person will provide frontline support (in person and remote) requiring troubleshooting and technical assistance. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for new technologies, learning, and providing exceptional customer service to end-users.
- Provide training and documentation to end users
- Install and configure software and hardware components on PC and Mac systems
- Support company personnel, including hardware, VPN connectivity, wireless networking, email, and printers
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical hardware and/or software issues
- Document support requests and resolutions in our ticketing system
- Interface with other IT departments for end user problems and access requests
- Assist with mass laptop deployment during busy season and image new devices for associates
- Possess an Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills
- Proficient in Active Directory and group management
- Experience in supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11 desktop/laptops
- Familiarity with basic networking principles Domain Name System (DNS) and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, with excellent customer service skills
- Provide end user training and documentation
The pay range reflects the potential rate for this role. Individual base pay is determined by various factors such as relevant experience and skills, and the scope and responsibilities of the position.
$18.50 per hour
