Registered Nurse Preop/PACU – Center for Ortho Surgery – Per Diem Tier C
The Registered Nurse Preop/PACU position is an integral part of the Center for Orthopedic Surgery team at Atlanti Care Surgery Center, LLC. You will play a crucial role in ensuring patients receive exceptional care and support throughout their surgical journey. Your responsibilities will cover the three phases of surgery, from pre‑op preparation to post‑anesthesia care, collaborating with a skilled healthcare team to provide a seamless and positive patient experience.
Responsibilities- Provide exceptional patient care and family support during all surgical phases.
- Assist physicians with equipment, supplies, and support in Pre‑Op and PACU areas.
- Adhere to organizational goals by delivering quality customer service and participating in performance improvement initiatives.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean environment.
- Assist with patient education and discharge planning as needed.
- Uphold the values and mission of Atlanti Care Surgery Center, LLC.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing;
Bachelor's in nursing preferred. - Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey is required.
- BLS certification is mandatory upon hire or transfer.
- ACLS and PALS certifications are required, as designated by specialty.
- Prior experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center is preferred.
- Proficiency in Clinical Applications is preferred, with training provided for new hires.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, busy environment with frequent interruptions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 pounds, and walk short distances quickly.
