Schedule:Full-time, seasonal with opportunity for year round work. Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (40 hrs/week)
Compensation:$20–$23 per hour (DOE)

Beyond growing organic produce, we serve as a vital hub for food access, dedicated to bringing fresh, nutrient-dense produce into Atlantic City and surrounding food deserts to ensure equitable food access and feed a healthy community.
Position OverviewWe are seeking a high-energy Field Crew Lead to help drive our vegetable production operations. Working directly under the Vegetable Production Manager, you will be a hands-on leader responsible for ensuring our farm runs efficiently while fostering a positive, productive environment for our team and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Supervise and work alongside the farm crew and volunteers; provide clear direction, constructive feedback, and compassionate conflict resolution.
- Field Operations: Execute and assist in leading all aspects of vegetable production, including nursery work, transplanting, weeding, irrigation, composting, and harvesting.
- Operational Proficiency: Master and maintain our specific farming practices (bed prep, processing, washing/packing, and record-keeping) to ensure consistency and quality.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify field issues and collaborate with the vegetable manager to implement solutions and continuous workplace improvements.
- Cross-Departmental Support: Assist other departments and manage volunteer groups as needed to support the farm's overall mission.
- Experience: Minimum of two full seasons of commercial vegetable farming experience.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead people with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. You should be as comfortable taking instructions as you are giving them.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to repetitively lift 20-50lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs assisted and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Skills: Strong communication skills and a knack for navigating team dynamics.
- Note:
Tractor experience is not required but is highly appreciated. - Competitive Pay: $20–$23/hour based on your experience level.
