The Business Development Representative is directly responsible for responding to service customer inquiries and maintaining service customer retention within customer satisfaction standards.
Responsibilities- Answer and schedule customer service appointment requests via email, phone, or text within 30 minutes during working hours.
- Correctly handle appointment and information requests according to available manufacturer reference material and dealer policies.
- Confirm first appointment is made with customer for every new and pre‑owned vehicle sold by the sales department.
- Follow up via email, phone, and text according to CRM schedule with service customers to ensure customer satisfaction after visit and set next appointment if not already made.
- Actively seek, capture, and appropriately hand off extended warranty and sales‑related leads to respective dealer personnel.
- Document any customer service issues and bring them to the service manager's attention.
- Follow up with service department prospecting and customer lead lists.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned.

Must have general knowledge of telephone usage and excellent interpersonal skills. Must have basic keyboarding experience. Ability to memorize and use “scripts” to speak with customers, and various dealership policies and processes.
SpecialPosition Requirements
Position has no management responsibility or authority. Position interacts with other business development representatives, the business development center manager, general sales manager, sales consultants, F&I personnel, service personnel and other company representatives. Position has high level of contact with customers.
PreferencesExperience in telephone usage, cold calling, sales or service, and appointment scheduling desired.
Work RequirementsHours for this position are generally 40 hours per workweek, or less if the position is granted on a part‑time basis.
