Business Analyst

Introduction The European Business Planning Team for Fishing is looking for a Business Analyst to support them in providing insightful data and critical forecasts to inform pan-European strategic decision making. Based at the EU HQ in Eindhoven, the new business analyst will form the nerve center for all market activity across Europe. Working closely with colleagues at the Shimano Sales Offices, you will analyze and structure data to create real and relevant storylines for your commercial colleagues.

The Challenge

• Analyze data to build market and business intelligence.
• Identify important trends and developments in European markets.
• Develop and create forecasts to support the Sales to formulate sales planning and strategy.
• Champion continuous improvement and innovation of tools to optimize the use of data.
• Maintain databases for optimal and current data covering the scope of market demand, product development, and sales activity needs.
• Understanding of Commercial Policies and Trading terms.

What are we looking for?

• Minimum bachelor level education in a relevant discipline, master’s is preferred.
• Over 5 years’ experience working in market analysis or business analysis, preferably in an international environment.
• Advanced Excel and Power BI skills.
• Good English language skills, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong numerical and analytical reasoning, proactive and organized working style with an eye for details that makes you capable of analytical and administrative tasks.
• You are a clear communicator who can translate your findings into a clear message for a wide audience.
• A commercial mindset to be able to see the insights within the data and translate these into opportunities for sales & marketing.
