With a strong international footprint, the organisation partners closely with OEMs, end users, and service partners to improve operational performance, reliability and long-term competitiveness across multiple industries.
Purpose and Responsibilities:
This is a newly created, standalone role within a newly established Sales Service Division, designed to accelerate growth in service-related revenue and strengthen long-term customer relationships.
The Service Sales Manager will be responsible for developing service and upgrade business with end users across the Netherlands, with the potential to expand into the Dutch-speaking region of Belgium.
The role focuses on proactively visiting existing customers, identifying opportunities within the installed base, and converting these insights into structured service, retrofit, and solution sales.
Working closely with application engineering and sales teams, the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the local service sales approach. As the division matures, there is clear potential for the role—and the organisation around it to grow in scope and responsibility based on success and market impact.
Business Development Identify, engage, and develop new end-user and service customers, including OEMs, MROs, and manufacturers.
Define and execute a local business plan focused on end-user and service sales growth.
Build and maintain strategic relationships to secure preferred supplier status with key end users.
Coordinate with international stakeholders on global end-user initiatives and account strategies.
Develop and manage a structured sales funnel with clear opportunity management.
Analyse the installed customer base and translate insights into service, retrofit, and upgrade opportunities.
Define pricing strategies and business models for service-related offerings.
Manage the full sales cycle, including quotations, negotiations, internal approvals, and ongoing customer relationship management.
Collaboration & Internal Alignment Work closely with regional sales teams, application engineers, and the central service organisation.
Coordinate activities with OEM sales, distributors, and system integrators to ensure a unified market approach.
Share market insights, forecasts, and pipeline updates with management and relevant stakeholders.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Industry Knowledge:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development or direct B2B sales.
At least 3 years’ experience selling services or solutions, preferably within industrial automation, drives, or motion control.
Skills and
Competencies:
Strong consultative selling and communication skills.
Results-driven mindset with the ability to identify and realise new business opportunities.
Proactive, empathetic, and customer-focused approach.
Fluent in English and the local language, both written and spoken.
Comfortable working in hybrid environments and across international teams.
