Bookkeeper

Description

Our client, a committed nonprofit organization, is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their accounting team. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial records and supporting the organization's mission-driven operations.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Maintain general ledger and reconcile accounts.

+ Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.

+ Manage payroll data and assist with payroll processing.

+ Support grant tracking and restricted funds reporting.

+ Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.

+ Assist in preparing documentation for annual audits.

+ Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and internal financial controls.

Requirements

+ Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.

+ Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience in a nonprofit environment strongly preferred.

+ Proficiency with accounting software (such as Quick Books) and Microsoft Office Suite.

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

+ Knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles, including grants and fund management.

+ Effective communicator with a collaborative approach.
