Own end-to-end accounting and financial close for a flavor manufacturing business, ensuring timely, accurate financials, strong inventory control, and disciplined cost/margin reporting.
Core Responsibilities Accounting & Close- Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Manage journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Coordinate with external CPA for tax filings and audits
- Inventory valuation (raw materials, WIP, finished goods)
- Batch costing and variance analysis
- COGS accuracy and margin tracking by SKU/customer
- Cycle counts and physical inventory oversight
- Identify and correct inventory leakage or process gaps
- Oversee AP/AR and cash management
- Payroll coordination (with HR or provider)
- Banking relationships and cash forecasting
- Sales tax and regulatory accounting support
- Improve close timelines and accuracy
- Build scalable processes as company grows
- 7–12 years in accounting / controllership
- Manufacturing experience required (food, flavor, chemical, CPG preferred)
- Strong inventory and cost accounting
- CPA preferred (not mandatory if experience is strong)
