Just 16 miles from downtown San Diego and a 20-minute drive to some of the most beautiful beaches in California, Grossmont College is a 135-acre campus in San Diego's East County near the diverse communities of El Cajon, La Mesa, and San Diego. Grossmont College's backyard is Mission Trails Regional Park, one of the largest municipal parks in the United States.

Under the direction of the Vice President of Student Services, the Dean will be responsible for the development, direction, supervision, and evaluation of the assigned set of the college's academic programs and/or college service areas, which include Exercise Science, Nutrition, Health, and Athletics. Administrators will be assigned responsibility for a combination of day, evening, and weekend programs, on-campus and off site.

Each instructional Dean assumes responsibility for some college-wide functions and is responsible for grants management in their areas. Managers will be expected to perform other duties consistent with their job description.
