MISSION STATEMENT As dual-language charter schools, the mission of the Excellence and Justice in Education Academies (EJEA) is to prepare students from diverse populations to excel in higher education and to be leaders in creating a just global society.
JOB SUMMARY A teacher at EJE Academies is responsible for providing instruction to students in content areas that support each child's intellectual, emotional, social, and physical growth at his/her ability level and maturity level. Teachers work and cooperate with colleagues to establish a proper climate for a wholesome learning environment. Teachers communicate with parents regarding the progress of their child in all areas of school life.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Ability to read, write and speak fluently in English and Spanish
- Bachelor's Degree
- Current California teaching credential (with BASP, BCLAD or equivalent bilingual authorization)
- Classroom experience including, but limited to, curriculum planning, academic presentation and classroom management
- Clear background check, DOJ and Drug Test
WORK SCHEDULE Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
