* Position Summary:

** Manages activities related to test engineering including staffing, scheduling, coordinating, and planning. Sets direction of and develops appropriate testing criteria, equipment, tools, and metrics required to make a quality product. Works across functions as required ensuring that testing is in place at all appropriate steps in the development and build process.
*
* Position Responsibilities:

*** Organizes and coordinates various sections of test engineering.
* Plans and establishes test engineering schedules and checks actual performance data against estimates.
* Recommends new policies or procedures as necessary.
* Manages assembly of cost control and statistical data and the development of material selection standards.
* Approves process specification and design standards.
* Prepares and controls departmental annual budget.
* Responsible for managing the evaluation, recommendation and implementation of testing procedures and strategies for products, systems, components, or modifications.
* Acts as advisor to test engineering team regarding projects, tasks, and operations and acts as a liaison to other engineering functions.
* Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.
** Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities

Required:

*** Leadership skills
* Familiar with test concepts, practices and procedures
* Strong reasoning skills based on previous engineering experience
* Thorough understanding of the market and competitive landscape
* Understands the basics of managing technical people

Qualifications:

* Education:

** Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
*
* Experience:

** 5+ years of experience in engineering; test engineering and leadership experience preferred.
** Work Environment and

Physical Requirements:

** Manufacturing Environment May lift up to 50 lbs.

Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer
