Mechanical Designer, Engineer & Manager

H+W Engineering, Inc. is hiring a Mechanical Engineers and Designers to join our team!

• Manage schedules, clients, and workload
• Attend meetings with clients and take diligent notes
• Attend job site walks to observe existing conditions and construction progress
• Design and manage mechanical engineering projects from conceptual design through construction

• Design and develop mechanical systems using Autodesk Revit and Autodesk AutoCAD
• Design building HVAC, medium and low-pressure air distribution, hydronic and control systems

• Perform mechanical engineering calculations including cooling, heating, ventilation and exhaust
• All other tasks assigned.

• AutoCAD, Revit, and Design Master
• Com Check, Energy Pro, or other energy code compliance tools
• Codes & Standards including the CBC, CMC, CPC, CFC, CGC, IES, NFPA, & ADA
• Utility standards including SDG&E, SCE, PG&E, etc.
• Technical writing including Basis of Designs and specifications
• Construction administration including RFI’s and submittal reviews

• 5-years of experience in the MEP industry
• Licensed to drive in CA

• Hybrid 2-days a week in office
• Flexible hours with start times between 7:00am-9:00am each day
• Fast-paced environment that requires collaboration across departments
• Travel may be required to job sites

• $80,000-$130,000 depending on experience

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently sits at a desk, working on a keyboard or mouse.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to climb ladders and survey construction sites.
• Occasionally moves objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
