The ancestors of the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation existed many centuries ago as a community of people…a Tribe living together, farming, hunting and fishing to survive.

Join our team as a Cage Cashier where you will provide exceptional guest service by accurately and efficiently processing cash and related transactions in a fast-paced casino environment. You'll greet guests with professionalism, provides change and redemption services, and assists with gaming inquiries while ensuring compliance with all policies and regulations.

Providesguest service by performing a variety of transactions and exchange services to guests
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

- Provides guest service
by greeting external guests in a friendly and courteous manner, providing change, scanning and redeeming slot machine tickets in the denominations requested by the guest, furnishing guests with game and promotional information, instruction and assistance, performing cash, chip, coin, voucher, promotional, coupon, and check cashing and cash advance transactions. - Maintains bank supply and integrity
by inspecting monies, identifying coins, bills, and chips for counterfeits, contacting Security and Gaming Commission when counterfeits are found, balancing window inventory, preparing drops and buys, and preparing machine ticket redemption, coupons, check cashing/cash advance and balancing reports. - Provides administrative support
by paying slot jackpots, recording transactions mandated by Title 31 in logbook and computer, and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Job Specifications:
Education and Experience:
- Guest service experience
- 1 year of cash handling experience
- 1 year of guest service experience
Skills and Knowledge:
- Ability to appear for work on time
- Ability to perform data-entry into a PC
- Ability to interact effectively with team members and guests
- Ability to communicate effectively in the English language
- Ability to read and write in the English language
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure
- Ability to complete forms and documents
- Ability to understand and follow verbal directives and written directions
- Ability to accept constructive criticism
- Ability to count cash and make change in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to recognize counterfeit monies and chips
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
- Ability to walk and stand for up to eight hours at a time
- Ability to work in a smoking environment
- Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
- 10-key by touch
