The ancestors of the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation existed many centuries ago as a community of people…a Tribe living together, farming, hunting and fishing to survive.

Job Purpose:

Performs janitorial services for assigned Tribal Departments

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides Tribal Departments with clean orderly work environment by mopping and cleaning restrooms, floors, shelves, mirrors, chairs, and tables within assigned work areas, vacuuming carpets, disposing of boxes, trash and other debris, refilling toilet paper, paper towels, and other sundries, and replacing trash liners and empty water bottles as needed.

Job Specifications:

Education and Experience:

• Driver's license in good standing

Skills and Knowledge:

• Ability to communicate effectively in the English language
• Ability to understand and follow written directions and verbal directives
• Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours at a time
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to bend and stoop
• Ability to grasp and lift
• Ability to climb a ladder
• Ability to appear for work on time
• Ability to accept constructive criticism
• Ability to maintain professionalism and composure
