General Laborer

This position is located in the mill area, where you will process cabinets before assembly. You’ll run pieces of wood through a machine that cuts them to specifications and verify measurements with a tape measure. All measurements are done in inches. Once verified, you will transport the cabinets to the assembly area. The role may also include cross‑training in assembly, involving drilling and screwing hardware, and operating a sanding machine to smooth wood surfaces.

• Basic addition and subtraction in inches.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and lift 50 lbs. consecutively throughout the day.
• Reliability and ability to work overtime.

• Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
• Carpentry or furniture assembly experience is a plus.

You will work in a woodworking manufacturing plant where wood dust and particles are present. The team‑oriented environment requires self‑efficiency and comfort working alongside Spanish‑speaking colleagues. The primary location is the Mill Department, with potential involvement in finishing, assembly, and painting. The standard shift is Monday to Friday, 2:30pm – 11:15pm, with initial training on the 1st shift 5am – 2:45pm.

Overtime is mandatory when required, and attire includes closed‑toed shoes, safety glasses, and back support if available.

Contract to Hire position based in ElCajon, California.

Pay range: $17.50 – $18.00 per hour.
