Position: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

We are currently seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to support our clinic in El Cajon, CA. This position, reporting to the Clinic Medical Director, is an excellent opportunity for someone excited to make an immediate and lasting impact in a growing company.

Position Overview

Works under the direction of a qualified professional nurse/Clinic Medical Director. Participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, within the objectives, standards, and policies of the clinic. Utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to caring for our patients.

Indian Preference applies. Qualified Indian (American Indian or Alaskan Native) applicants will receive preference in accordance with 25 U.S.C.

Minimum Requirements
  • Graduate of certified LVN program
  • Active LVN/LPN License in good standing
  • Must maintain continuing education credits as required by the Board of Licensure and organizational needs
  • Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic life support
  • Ability to pass drug and background screening
  • Ability to provide health and TB clearance
  • Licensure in good standing and adhere to all applicable laws and regulations
Preferred Requirements
  • Active American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS
  • 2 years of recent/previous work experience in substance use disorder setting
Required Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities
  • Provides direct and individualized nursing care to patients
  • Shares responsibility for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care in the clinic setting
  • Participates in case conferences, sharing knowledge, information, and ideas among team members
  • Records information concisely, accurately, and completely
  • Orders medical supplies, maintains a proper inventory, and records use as per regulations
  • Administers/dispenses medications/vaccines in accordance with applicable regulations and policy
  • Ensures the treatment plans are being followed
  • Administers and interprets the Mantoux test
  • Proficiency in point‑of‑care testing
  • Monitors patient response to treatment and medication dosage/interactions
  • Maintains all medical records including but not limited to individual charts, daily medication charts, dosage records, progress notes, and doctor's orders
  • Notifies patients of lab results at the direction of the provider
