Sycuan Health Center is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse Clinic Manager to provide clinical leadership and oversee daily operations of our outpatient healthcare clinic. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned RN who is passionate about patient care, team development, operational excellence, and advancing the health of our community.
As the RN Clinic Manager, you will play a key leadership role in coordinating patient care, managing clinic staff, ensuring quality standards, supporting providers, and fostering a culture of teamwork and exceptional service.
What You'll Do Clinical Leadership & Patient Care- Coordinate daily clinic operations and patient flow to ensure efficient, high-quality care.
- Perform nursing duties within scope of practice, including patient assessments, vital signs, medication administration, diagnostic testing, wound care, specimen collection, oxygen therapy, and assisting providers with exams and procedures.
- Triage patients in person and by telephone and ensure timely completion of documentation.
- Provide patient education and support related to chronic disease management and wellness initiatives.
- Relay provider instructions, test results, and treatment plans to patients.
- Directly supervise a multidisciplinary team including Medical Assistants, LVNs, Reception Staff, Patient Care Coordinators, Home Health Aides, Radiology Technicians, and Phlebotomists.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, timecard approval, performance management, corrective action, coaching, and employee development.
- Develop and deliver staff education and competency training programs.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and patient-centered work environment.
- Monitor quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with clinic standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee medication inventories, vaccine management, crash cart readiness, clinical logs, and equipment monitoring.
- Order clinic supplies, medications, and vaccines to support uninterrupted operations.
- Participate in quality improvement, infection prevention, and other clinical committees.
- Help develop and maintain clinic policies, procedures, and standard operating processes.
- Support specialty clinics and community health initiatives, including flu clinics, cancer screening events, and health education programs.
- Serve as the clinic leader when providers are not on-site.
- Partner with leadership to enhance patient care, clinical operations, and organizational effectiveness.
- Active and unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current CPR Certification
- Minimum 5 years of Registered Nurse experience
- Minimum 2 years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Knowledge of medical clinic operations, healthcare regulations, and patient confidentiality requirements
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Outpatient or ambulatory clinic experience
- Tribal health or Native American healthcare experience
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach and develop staff
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to exceptional patient care and customer service
- Ability to work collaboratively with providers and interdisciplinary teams
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability
