- Inspect machined parts, sheet metal parts, and welded parts for proper material, quality workmanship, dimensional accuracy, and functionality.
- Perform inspection setup on surface plates using common inspection equipment.
- Operate hardness testing machine and Optical Comparator.
- Conduct receiving inspections and complete associated paperwork.
- Perform first article inspections.
- Report discrepancies by writing Rejection Notices.
- Inspect outside processing and complete associated paperwork.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or directed.
- Pass an eye test.
- Minimum of three years of recent experience in a job shop environment.
- Basic knowledge of sheet metal, welding, and machining.
- Basic blueprint reading skills, including GD&T.
- Proficiency in basic shop math functions associated with inspection setup procedures.
- Ability to read and understand customer and industry specifications.
- Organized and able to multi‑task.
- Detail oriented.
- Willingness to work as a team.
- Ability to drive a forklift.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
In compliance with all state and city requirements for pay transparency, the expected pay range for this position is $25–$30 per hour.
Compensation can vary depending on qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for additional incentives such as equity, commissions, or other variable performance‑related bonuses, which will be discussed during the interview process.
