We are so much more than a Parts Store and we are looking for great talent to join our NAPA family. As a NAPA Counter Sales associate
, you are the "face of the retail store" and the go-to person for customers entering our stores for automotive needs. A background and knowledge of automotive parts is required; hands-on tearing down engines is not necessary, but encouraged if you have that experience. This is a great opportunity whether you are pursuing a long-term career as a Parts Specialist, want to work full or part-time, or are exploring other careers with us at some point.
you will be doing
- Provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person at the counter or over the phone
- Use your parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members in answering customer questions
- Provide outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who visits the NAPA Store
- Bring customer focus and high energy to our fast-paced stores
- Welcome retail customers and engage to provide a positive consumer experience
- Use technology (computer), cash register, telephone, and paper catalog systems
- Genuinely enjoy helping retail and wholesale customers with auto parts and service questions
- Have gained parts experience in the automotive industry or by tinkering with/repairing cars and trucks
- Are willing to learn all things automotive if you don t have the background
- Want to join a team where you can learn and grow your career
- Valid Driver s License
- Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry or willingness to learn all things auto parts
- High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade school courses or degree is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Love for fast-paced retail environments
- Great listening skills and empathy for customers
- Background and/or passion for automotive, heavy equipment, farm, diesel, marine, or dealership
- Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, or auto body/collision
- Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems
- Fully customer-centric (external/internal)
- ASE Certifications

This position offers an hourly pay of $19.75. Many hourly positions have pay progression with set starting rates; you may reach the top end of this range within 12 months of hire. The starting rate for other positions will be based on individual skills, experience, and qualifications.
