Your Role

As an Auto Parts Counter Professional you’ll report directly to the Store Manager and be at the heart of our inside sales activity. Your job is to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers, close sales, and help drive store success.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain productive, long‑lasting relationships with existing customers.
  • Close sales to achieve goals and drive growth.
  • Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Know customers’ needs and preferences.
  • Locate hard‑to‑find parts and negotiate with vendors for the best deals.
  • Provide precise quotes and follow up to ensure orders are placed.
  • Track lost sales and promote company specials.
  • Assist colleagues when needed and foster new sales opportunities.
  • Fulfill customer orders from installers, fleets, municipalities, and dealerships.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain and promote workplace safety.
  • Secure and transfer cash or other assets.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of counter sales experience in a competitive market, preferably in wholesale auto parts for the aftermarket.
  • Exceptional phone skills with an enthusiastic, attentive tone.
  • Existing customer base is a plus.
  • Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passionate about exceptional customer service and exceeding sales goals.
  • Ability to build and maintain lasting business relationships.
  • General automotive knowledge preferred.
  • Results‑oriented, producer, closer, and committed to growth.
  • Tech‑savvy with POS systems and proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel).
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Spanish and/or Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is a plus.
  • Independent worker who can act and operate autonomously.
  • Outgoing, assertive, proactive, positive, and can‑do attitude with tenacity.
