HVAC Helper in El Cajon

Prestigious Building Solutions is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented HVAC Helper/Installer to support full-scope residential and multifamily service work. You’ll work alongside other techs on inspections, installs, tune-ups, and system diagnostics while learning advanced field skills in a high-volume, well-organized environment.

• Assist with FAU inspections
  : blower compartment, burners, safeties, electrical, filter housing
• Support condenser checks
  : pressure readings, capacitor testing, fan motor verification
• Help with thermostat replacements and basic programming
• Perform condensate line clearing
  , 5-gallon drain tests, and overflow switch verification
• Assist with ductwork inspection
  : plenum leakage, duct sealing, airflow issues
• Help verify trap depth, line grade, FAU tilt, and drain pan grade
• Support bath fan testing (humidity trigger + 30 CFM requirement)
• Assist with dryer vent cleaning and exterior damper checks
• Carry tools, stage materials, maintain clean jobsite
• Document findings and support lead tech with deficiency notes

• 1+ year HVAC experience (or strong mechanical aptitude)
• Ability to follow direction and work clean
• Comfortable working in attics, tight spaces, and occupied units
• Valid driver’s license
• EPA certification a plus
