Skilled Rack Systems HVAC​/R Service Technician

Cool Sys is seeking a Skilled Rack Systems HVAC/R Service Technician to join our field team supporting retail, commercial, and industrial customers. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain complex rack refrigeration and HVAC/R systems, perform preventive maintenance, and optimize equipment for safety, reliability, and energy efficiency. You'll read schematics, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and handle refrigerants in compliance with regulations.

Working in a safety-first, customer-focused culture, you'll collaborate with experienced technicians, receive ongoing technical training, and support mission-critical environments across North America.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair rack refrigeration and HVAC/R systems in retail and industrial facilities
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections on mechanical and refrigeration equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control issues using schematics and technical documentation
• Start up, commission, and optimize rack systems for energy efficiency and reliability
• Document work performed, parts used, and recommendations in service reports

• Sys safety procedures and regulatory requirements, including refrigerant handling
• Communicate clearly with customers and dispatch regarding job status and recommendations
• Collaborate with team members and mentors to solve complex technical problems
• Participate in ongoing technical training and certifications to expand HVAC/R expertise
