Facilities Maintenance Technician Needed. Looking for Facilities Maintenance Technician jobs in El Cajon where your technical skills keep equipment operating at its best? This opportunity allows you to troubleshoot problems, perform repairs, and help maintain the systems that keep production moving safely and efficiently.

Maintain and perform intermediate repairs on critical facility systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical equipment). Conduct preventative maintenance schedules and respond to active facility work orders. Assist in the installation, relocation, or modification of industrial manufacturing equipment.

High school diploma or GED required. Technical school, vocational training, or industrial maintenance certification preferred.

Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic equipment. Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, blueprints, or equipment documentation. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and preventative maintenance practices. Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience; hands-on welding experience (MIG, TIG, or Stick) and basic metal fabrication.

Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related technical environment is preferred. Experience performing preventative maintenance programs and responding to equipment breakdowns is beneficial. Knowledge of PLCs, electrical controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, or fabrication is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate strong troubleshooting abilities, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement are well positioned for success as a Facilities Maintenance Technician.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and work in a variety of industrial environments throughout the shift. Ability to lift equipment, tools, and replacement parts weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely work around moving machinery while following established safety procedures. Manual dexterity to operate tools, perform repairs, and inspect equipment.
