Overview
Utility Worker/Service Employee — Transdev in El Cajon, CA is hiring. The Utility Worker/Service Employee is required to perform basic vehicle servicing duties. We are looking for customer service‑oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

- Position subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement
- Starting pay $21.84 per hour with progression based on CBA negotiation over a 3 year period
- Vacation: up to 20 days per year, based on years of service
- Paid Sick Leave: 48 hrs per year; medical, dental & vision after 90 calendar days of employment for full-time employees, life insurance, 401k retirement benefits, and company holidays
- Maintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles — interior and exterior
- Driving, maneuvering, and parking vehicles
- Fueling buses, replenishing fluids, and logging and recording all fluids
- Downloading drive cameras & probes fare boxes
- Perform light maintenance to shop areas, fueling stations, and related facilities
- Report maintenance issues to supervisor
- Other duties as required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years
- Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason
- Less than 10% of work is accomplished indoors in air-conditioned or well-ventilated facilities
- Greater than 90% of work is accomplished in an open garage facility
- Physical activities requiring use of arms, repetitive hand/wrist motion, and legs, including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials
- May be asked to lift and carry up to 60 pounds
- May be exposed to cleaning chemicals; safety protective gear provided
