Salary Range: $35,000.00 To $45,000.00 Annually

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team at C & D Towing Specialists, located in San Diego County. As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating and dispatching our fleet of towing and recovery vehicles, ensuring efficient and timely service to our customers. You will work closely with drivers, customers, and management to manage calls, prioritize tasks, and maintain clear communication.

This role requires excellent multitasking abilities, problem-solving skills, and a focus on customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Dispatch and coordinate towing and recovery services for customers, ensuring timely and efficient operations.
  • Utilize dispatch systems, GPS, and fleet management software to track and manage the location and status of drivers and vehicles.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers and customers to provide updates, resolve issues, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple service requests simultaneously, ensuring that all jobs are completed promptly and according to company standards.
  • Collaborate with the Operations and Management teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Address emergency situations and adapt to changing priorities as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, job statuses, and service details.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a dispatching, logistics, or operations management role.
  • Proficiency in computer use (minimum 35 WPM typing speed).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in towing, recovery, or fleet management.
  • Familiarity with AAA or other roadside assistance programs.
  • Team-building and leadership skills.
  • Ability to handle customer issues calmly and professionally.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Excellent multitasking and organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving challenges.
  • Customer service focus, with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with customers.
  • Proficiency in using dispatch and fleet management software.
Working Hours:
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays, may be required.
