We are currently seeking a Warehouse Worker to join our operations team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe handling of regulated medical waste within our facility. Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Warehouse Worker with MET, your daily tasks will include:
Receiving & Processing Waste- Safely receive and unload incoming containers of regulated medical waste.
- Inspect incoming loads for compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Sort and process waste streams according to OSHA, DOT, and company guidelines.
- Load and unload containers and drums from company trucks, ensuring all materials are handled safely and efficiently.
- Secure containers for transport and maintain accurate manifests and chain-of-custody documentation.
- Properly label, stage, and store containers in designated warehouse areas.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance throughout the warehouse.
- Assist with routine equipment checks, basic maintenance, and reporting of any safety concerns.
- Strictly adhere to OSHA, DOT, EPA, and state regulatory requirements.
- Consistently wear and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Follow all company protocols to protect staff, clients, and the environment.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous warehouse, industrial, or waste-handling experience is helpful but not required, training will be provided.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Comfortable working on your feet in a fast-paced and physically demanding environments.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-minded.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to work in a regulated waste-handling environment.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
