In this position you'll lead daily warehouse operations, oversee inventory and deliveries, support and develop team members, and ensure departments have the supplies they need to succeed. - 1. Maintains the efficient operation of the general warehouse, SDFC and Singing Hills activities and staff
by implementing policies, procedures, and internal controls, scheduling and assigning duties to shipping and receiving staff, monitoring daily shipping and receiving processes, proper storage, and distribution of merchandise, overseeing stock and par levels, ensuring areas are clean, orderly, and organized, and providing physical support when needed. Ensures adherence to all safety regulations and company policies within warehouse operations.
2. Ensures continuous stock availability for the casino and Singing Hills
by placing timely orders based on demand, securing cost-effective pricing, resolving vendor issues related to stock availability, and identifying and introducing new stock items.
3. Develops and supports team members
by collaborating with the Warehouse Manager on staffing needs, participating in interviewing and hiring the best qualified applicants, monitoring team member performance, conducting performance appraisals, and providing training, guidance, counseling, and corrective action as needed.
4. Conducts physical inventory and cycle counts
by counting in-house stock, conducting recounts if necessary, and reviewing and investigating variances.
5. Assigns adequate warehouse space to Casino Resort departments
by communicating with Department Managers, Chefs, and SDFC personnel to determine storage needs and timelines, and discarding items according to established procedures.

6. Ensures the integrity of high-end and regulated merchandise
by receiving and identifying high-end and regulated deliveries, contacting and collaborating with the Security, Gaming Commission, and appropriate department personnel for distribution and delivery of merchandise following established procedures.
7. Ensures warehouse equipment and vehicles are in satisfactory condition
by coordinating routine inspections of warehouse equipment and company vehicles identifying when repairs are necessary, scheduling maintenance and repairs with appropriate personnel, following up with mechanics on repair progress and completion, ensuring proper storage and safe handling of equipment, identifying when replacement equipment may be needed, and coordinating with the Warehouse Manager and Procurement to ensure timely and cost-effective equipment purchases.
Enforces all safety regulations related to equipment operation and maintenance.
Job Specifications:
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- 2 years of warehouse of experience
- 1 year of supervisory experience
- 1 year of inventory experience
- CA Driver's License in good standing
- Casino warehouse experience
- Hotel warehouse experience
Skills and Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of UPS and Fed-Ex shipping procedures
- Working knowledge of purchasing and inventory software systems
- Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
- Working knowledge of electronic mail
- Excellent record-keeping and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret merchandise destination on packing slips
- Ability to recognize and determine if merchandise matches packing slips
- Ability to operate electric pallet jack and forklift
- Ability to operate golf carts
- Ability to interact effectively with team members and vendors
- Ability to provide guidance to team members
- Ability to communicate effectively in the English language
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure
- Ability to read and complete forms and documents
