Tilson Homes is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team in the Gulf Coast area as an Operational Support Specialist.

Requirements

As an Operational Support Specialist
, you will support operational consistency and continuous improvement across the homebuilding process through field visits, variance review, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. This role blends fieldwork with reporting and cross-team collaboration to improve consistency, reduce waste, and protect margins.

Additional requirements are:
  • Conducts job site visits and gathers field data to understand how operational processes translate to field execution.
  • Reviews variance reports and operational data to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and strengthen operational consistency.
  • Work with Construction, Cost Management, Drafting, Site Evaluation, Sales, and other teams to understand root-cause issues and support development of practical solutions.
  • Supports the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of operational reporting, analytics, tools, and supporting systems.
  • Support operational support initiatives and quarterly review meetings.
  • Travel regularly throughout Texas.
We are looking for:
  • Strong knowledge of construction plans, material takeoffs, and related project documentation.
  • Clear communication and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and recommend solutions.
  • Understanding of building codes and basic math (percentages, margins).
  • Highly organized with strong time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mobile apps.
  • 5+ years in homebuilding or related field preferred; bachelor’s degree preferred.
