Job DescriptionJob Summary:
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for maintenance technicians and process improvement across assigned production facilities. Accountable for leading and managing practical day-to-day activities involving a maintenance engineer and maintenance crews across 3 shifts at two production facilities while ensuring daily excellence to achieve results in safety, quality, downtime, cost, and efficiency. This person will be responsible for coordinating activities with plant leadership & senior executives to ensure consistency across shifts and plants and lead continuous assessment, feedback, and development of employees toward higher levels of individual and group performance.
Additional responsibilities include conducting regular meetings to discuss business information, plant performance vs. goals, issues, and concerns with crews, and ensuring that the execution of work is consistent with the plant's goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
:
- Key plant leader in safety culture and EH&S compliance, and improvement initiatives.
- Manage maintenance leads, technicians, and support team members across 3 shifts.
- Provide training and technical support in repairing and troubleshooting mechanical equipment.
- Provide training and technical support in repair and troubleshooting electrical/electronic equipment.
- Develop, train, audit, and assist with preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and TPM program, execution.
- Factory environment, possibly including heavy lifting and areas requiring eye protection, hearing protection, and respirators.
- Managethe planning, scheduling, tool, supplies, and MRO parts inventory with storeroom and tool room manager using Tab Ware, Great Plains software, or equivalent.
- Managethe maintenance of ground and housekeeping in the facility's internal ground and housekeeper resources.
- Leaddepartment productivity improvement, MRO, and energy cost reduction while improving downtime and equipment life.
- Support Production in RCFA of safety and quality issues.
- Participate in Lean Kaizen event as part of the plant's continuous improvement effort.
- Supportplant budget development and manage maintenance budget.
- Support capital engineering projects (i.e. equipment, facilities/infrastructure,etc.) due diligence and implementation.
- Other duties as deemed necessary by management.
Qualifications:
- Experience working within OSHA safety guidelines
- Strong electrical, PLC/CNC troubleshooting capabilities
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Experience with project development and machine moving
- Advanced computer skills; working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office
- Experience working with woodworking machinery and/or cabinet manufacturing process is a plus
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to read, write and speak in Spanish is a plus
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor, Industrial Maintenance or Engineering
- 10+ years of Industrial Maintenance experience
- 10+ years Supervision/leadership experience
