Flute Music Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a Flute Music Teacher to provide private and small-group flute lessons in our retail store. In this role, you'll develop customized lesson plans, teach fundamentals and advanced techniques, and prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school performances. You'll track progress, communicate regularly with parents and school directors, and support store events that promote music education. The ideal candidate is a skilled flutist with teaching experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for helping students of all ages grow through music.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and small-group flute lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
• Develop and adapt individualized lesson plans and curricula aligned with student goals
• Teach flute fundamentals, music theory, reading, tone production, and advanced techniques
• Prepare students for recitals, auditions, school performances, and ensemble participation
• Assess and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and school directors about student development
• Support and participate in in-store events and programs promoting music education
• Maintain a professional, safe, and engaging studio environment within the retail store
• Recommend appropriate instruments, accessories, and learning materials to students
• Collaborate with store staff to support scheduling, enrollment, and retention of lesson students
