Overnight Stock Associate

General Purpose

The Retail Associate ensures customers have a positive shopping experience by greeting them, engaging them, and maintaining a clean, organized store while following company best practices. The Associate may also perform additional tasks as required by business needs.

• Practice safe behaviors and maintain a safe, clutter‑free sales floor.
• Greet all customers with eye contact, a smile, and a friendly hello, and say "thank you" with each transaction.
• Assist customers at registers and throughout the store, answering questions courteously and knowledgeably.
• Respond promptly to customer service calls and resolve issues courteously, involving store leadership when necessary.
• Represent and support the Company brand at all times.
• Perform cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping counters and mirrors, replenishing restroom supplies, disinfecting high‑touch areas).
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the Company’s dress code.
• Complete daily sizing and recovery tasks per company best practice.
• Expedite newly received merchandise to the sales floor, merchandising per guidelines and maintaining brand familiarity.
• Follow loss prevention programs, the Shortage Highway, and merchandise protection standards.
• Safeguard confidential information, cash, and merchandise.
• Handle all cash, check, charge‑card, and refund transactions accurately, following all policies and procedures.
• Maintain a high level of awareness and accuracy when handling bankable tenders.
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency to maximize productivity while minimizing steps and touches in workflow.

Effective communication with customers, associates, and store leadership in a friendly, respectful, cooperative manner, and the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.

• Use all store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PC.
• Stand, walk, and move around the store for up to 100% of working time.
• Bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop regularly.
• Occasional push, pull, and lift of more than 25 pounds.
• Use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies.
• Those on stockroom shifts may push, pull, and lift more than 20 pounds.

The base pay range for this role is $17.90 – $18.40 per hour. The range is determined by factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, education, certifications, seniority, and location. The base pay is one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.
