Non-Exempt – 10 hrs. per month SALARY: $16.90 – $17.00 Per hour AGENCY CULTURE:

- Assist with the setup and breakdown of the distribution area, including tents, tables, pallets, chairs, and other assigned duties.
- Transport pallets containing Senior Food Boxes from the warehouse to the outside distribution area (specific to El Centro).
- Carry boxes weighing up to 35 pounds throughout the distribution process and place them in participants' vehicles and walk-in carts.
- Return empty pallets to the warehouse once distribution is complete.
- Provide assistance in directing traffic.
- Ensure the distribution site is thoroughly cleaned after the event.
- Perform tasks requiring lifting and/or standing under extreme outdoor temperatures during both summer and winter.
- Assist EFDN+ staff as needed.
- Execute other duties as assigned.
- Follow established program protocols.
- Adhere to all agency policies and procedures.
- Participate in departmental meetings, online webinars, and other training opportunities
EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of Catholic Charities services and resources.
- Ability to perform specific tasks such as lifting and/or standing exposed to extreme outdoor temperatures.
- Knowledge of/familiarity with or ability to quickly learn the resources and programs that are available within the community/county to assist seniors, the homeless, and other indigent populations.
- Knowledge of the community resources, health, and social services systems in Imperial County.
- Ability to organize and plan own work.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
- A flexible, proactive approach to work including the ability to prioritize and re-prioritize.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Ability to deal with sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality and possess the skill to establish working relationships with community partners.
- Knowledge of/familiarity with/sensitivity to the cultural background of populations served by the Catholic Charities.
- Ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner.
- Commitment to the mission and values associated with the agency and the program, including, social justice, respect for others, health, & well-being
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (Desired)
- Valid California Driver’s License and current automobile insurance in compliance with Agency requirements.
- Successful completion of a live scan, and Federal debarment requirements
- CPR or First Aid certification (Desired)
