Safely and efficiently, operate a commercial motor vehicle and deliver atmospheric, flammable, industrial gases and hard-good products to customers by performing the following.

Mon
- Friday 7 a.m.

  • Monday-Friday 7:00AM - 4:00 PM schedule with the occasional weekend

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for adherence to company policies including safety and the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Responsible for participating in identifying any safety and/or health hazards while in the workplace.
  • Maintain a safe driving record and appropriate driver’s license classification while operating company vehicles and equipment.
  • Loads and unloads service trucks with gas cylinders, containers and supplies for scheduled route deliveries as directed by dispatcher.
  • Makes deliveries in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction is met.
  • Ensures that all documents required to move and deliver the load are available and accurate.
  • Perform any non-route delivery necessary to provide customers with products.
  • Maintains records promptly and accurately as required by the company and in accordance with Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). vehicle for defects and safe operating conditions before each deliver (pre-trip) and submit necessary documentation to report any defects or problems immediately. Performs post-trip delivery at the end of each shift.
  • Identify potential problems with cylinders and notify management in a timely manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education
  • High school diploma, or equivalent is preferred.
Required Length And Type Of Experience
  • Must possess a valid Class A/B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat and Airbrake endorsements.
  • Minimum one (1) year class B experience operating a commercial vehicle
  • Must possess a clean and safe driving record, with no at-fault accidents or serious moving violations within the past three (3) years
  • Experience operating a forklift is preferred

  • Working knowledge of all Department of Transportation  and regulations for commercial drivers.
  • Must consistently demonstrate the ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service and communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Possess the ability to read a map and follow directions to effectively navigate delivery route.
  • Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Must meet all physical qualification standards imposed by regulation for drivers.
