Role Description

The Project Manager role at ANCO IRON & CONSTRUCTION INC is a full-time, on-site position based in El Cerrito, CA. The Project Manager oversees construction projects from planning through completion, including defining scope, timelines, and budgets, and coordinating daily activities with field teams and subcontractors. This role manages scheduling of materials and inspections, tracks progress, identifies risks, and implements corrective actions to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

The Project Manager collaborates with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders, prepares status reports, and ensures all work complies with safety standards, quality expectations, and applicable codes and regulations.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including experience in planning, organizing, and overseeing construction or related projects.
  • Experience with expediting and expeditor functions, ensuring timely delivery of materials, permits, and documentation.
  • Background in inspection processes and logistics management to coordinate site activities, deliveries, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams, clients, and vendors.
  • Proficiency with project management and office software (e.g., MS Office, project scheduling tools); familiarity with construction documentation is a plus.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, safety practices, and relevant local codes and regulations is preferred.
  • Relevant education or training in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
