Preschool Teacher for Summer Program & Part-Time School Year
El Cerrito Preschool Cooperative (ECPC)is an 85-year-old,nonprofit, parent-run preschool rooted in self-directed, play-based learning. About the RoleWe are seeking a warm, collaborative educator to join our teaching team for our Summer Program
and as a part-time floater during the school year
. We are hoping to find one person to hold both roles.
- Summer Program Teacher (5 weeks,~July 2026)
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:30am–1:30pm - Part-Time Teacher (School Year)
Schedule:
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 9:30am–3:30pm - Follows WCCUSD school calendar
- Flexibility and substitute availability strongly preferred
- Support play-based learning, outdoor exploration, and daily routines alongside lead teacher
- Compensation: starting rate: $25.65/hour
- Support a child-centered, play-based classroom
- Collaborate with lead teachers and directors
- Engage with families in a co-op school model
- Maintain a safe and nurturing environment
- Assist with classroom setup, cleanup, and outdoor play
- Minimum
12 ECE units
(CA licensing req.) - Experience with children ages 3–5
- Available for the entire summer program
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs, change diapers, and participate in active play
- Team-oriented, dependable, and reflective
Bonus:
